  • Yes! We recommend the first visit to be in person but will work with families if this is not feasible due to distance. Following the initial evaluation, we can discuss if virtual services are better suited.

  • Spruce is our HIPAA compliance phone, text, video, and fax service. If you download the app, messages will come directly there to ensure they are hidden/secure until ready to be open and viewed by you. The app is also required for virtual telehealth services.

    Our patient portal connects to both our billing service and electronic health records (EHR). We utilize your patient portal for new patient forms, other health documents, and all items related to your medical chart.

 

SCHEDULING/patient questions

  • There are many ways to schedule an appointment. See below for the options.

    1. Call the office at 504.226.6280.

    2. Text our HIPAA secure line at 504.226.6280 with the patient name, date of birth, and request. Our office staff will return your call during business hours.

    3. Fill out the request form online.

    4. Providers may fax a face sheet and growth chart with best contact number for the patient.

  • Yes. While your PCP plays an important role in your overall health, Dr. Brittany Andry, our Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, provides a comprehensive medical evaluation specifically focused on eating disorders. Her assessment includes a detailed history and physical exam tailored to eating patterns, behaviors, and overall nutritional status.

    Dr. Andry also reviews lab work, may perform an ECG if needed, and carefully evaluates for any medical complications or co-occurring conditions. This specialized evaluation ensures that all aspects of you or your child’s physical health related to disordered eating are thoroughly assessed and monitored throughout treatment.

  • Sign into your patient portal 

    Under messages, select “create message”, “choose patient” 

    Under message reason, select “new patient forms”, “start message” 

    Select “sign document” on all attached forms

    Press “send” once completed 

  • Go to our website at www.cedar.health and click “patient portal” on top right.

    You can also click the link that was texted to invite you to the portal.
